Nimbla is a UK-based insurtech company that protects small and medium-sized businesses from the risks of late or failed payments. Powered by algorithms that assess creditworthiness and insure invoices in real time, it had a strong proposition and needed a distinctive identity to stand apart in a competitive market.
The new venture required a credible and recognisable brand capable of communicating clarity and trust within financial services, while cutting through a category often dominated by conservative visual language.
We developed a modern visual identity and design system that gave Nimbla clarity, coherence and personality. At its centre is the folded Zen N symbol, a dynamic marque representing growth, layered value and the four key stages of invoicing: negotiation, sale, delivery and payment. The symbol also reflects positive cashflow, reinforcing Nimbla’s purpose through a single recognisable idea.
The brand launched at Accountex London, cutting through a sea of grey suits with a vibrant and confident identity. Supported by campaign platforms, investor materials and digital collateral, the system elevated visibility and credibility for the business. Nimbla went on to partner with Barclays as well as secure £5.1 million in funding and continue its mission to help SMEs trade with greater confidence.
