Unifying Shell’s African downstream business with a vibrant pan-African brand
Vivo Energy was created to bring together Shell’s downstream fuels and lubricants business across Africa. Operating at scale across fast-growing markets, the business needed a name and identity that could bring clarity, energy and cohesion to a complex, entrepreneurial organisation.
We created the name Vivo Energy to suggest life, vitality and forward momentum. The identity was developed as a vibrant, scalable brand system, using dynamic forms, strong colour and clear guidelines to help the business show up consistently across markets, channels and operational environments.
Today, Vivo Energy operates across 28 African markets, with more than 4,000 service stations, around 6,000 employees and approximately 2 million customers served daily. Applied across fuel stations, tankers, uniforms, launch communications and brand guidelines, the work helped create a confident, recognisable identity built for scale, visibility and everyday use.
